What is hosting?
The internet is made up of millions of servers (computers) that are permanently connected.
In order for your website to be visible to the rest of the world, it needs to be stored on one of these servers.
Although it would be possible to set up a server of your own, it's really not practical as it would be incredibly expensive and time consuming to maintain.
Instead, the easiest thing to do is to "rent" space on a professional server with a very high speed internet connection and skilled technicians permanently on-hand to sort out any problems. This service is known as "hosting".
Often when you sign up for an internet connection at home, you'll be given a small amount of free "webspace". Although free or low cost hosting may be fine for a personal hobby site, it's unlikely to any good for business purposes - slow page loading, poor support and unavailable sites are all common problems, plus you normally find that some of the more advanced facilitiies that you'll need aren't available.
Vengavenga offer a range of professional-grade hosting packages - all of which come with the peace of mind of a 99.9% "uptime" guarantee and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week monitoring by on-site technicians.
